Rob Lowe blackouts FOX's World Series

Game 1 of the World Series on FOX experienced technical difficulties in the fourth inning and it may be all because of Rob Lowe.

Viewers across the nation were greeted with this, after Fox's play-by-play announcer Joe Buck promoted Fox's show "The Grinder" starring Rob Lowe:

Lowe is known for his DirecTV ads when he compares himself as "Cable TV Rob Lowe" and "DirecTV Rob Lowe."

The game between the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals was tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth.  FOX reported a power outage to their "truck" as the reason for the blackout. The game was delayed for 15 minutes until the network could resume coverage.

This was the first time since the 1989 World Series in San Francisco that a loss of live coverage has happened.  That was due to the Loma Prieta earthquake prior to the start of Game 3, featuring the Oakland A's versus the San Francisco Giants.  ABC televised that series.
